PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY

After contract award (and in some cases before) each project will be assigned a dedicated contract team (depending on value and programme), generally consisting of a Project Director, Contracts Manager and Site Manager. A specific structure for the project is provided at the outset for client agreement.

The project team will provide all information and deliverables under the contract, acting as a single point contract for all aspects of the works, including financial, technical and commercial issues.
These in rough chronological order will include:

  • Draft method statement
  • Proposed drawing register (if design and build)
  • Programme and information required dates
  • Specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Applications and valuations
  • Completion and snagging documentation
  • Health and safety files

Throughout the project, we aim to be in close contact with the client and professional team, identify both potential risks to the outcome of the project, as well as potential opportunities to value engineer, to provide time or cost benefits to our client's business.

CAPACITY AND RESOURCES

Perry Brothers have sufficient resources and facilities to execute a variety of projects set up to a value of £6m in house. Where required, we can undertake design elements for interior design, mechanical and electrical services, as well as space planning and furniture design.

In addition, we have a broad circle of regularly used specialist designers for unusual project briefs, and strong ceiling and metalwork/glazing/cladding expertise at our disposal.

We are highly automated in our systems, with extensive use being made of CAD design, computerised programming techniques and email facilities for effective and rapid communication with suppliers and clients.

Within our Group we have extensive manufacturing and storage facilities, and own a wide range of site and safety equipment.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Safety is a vital part of any contract, and we take our responsibilities for accident prevention seriously, and we are committed to providing a safe working environment for all involved in a project.

We employ an outside CITB training consultant to support our continuous staff development programme. We induct all of our operatives into the Perry philosophy and continue with regular CONDAM based training courses and "tool box talks".

We have produced our own publication, "Perry Brothers - Guide to safety in construction" which includes our policy and basic risk assessments. A copy is available on request.

We are fully aware of our responsibilities to our staff,. Clients and the general public, and ensure that all those working on our behalf take safety as seriously as we do.
