Telephone House
Telephone House is an office building constructed in 1963 on basement, ground and 7 upper floors and consists of two wings and a central lift/services core. The building, originally constructed as a British Telecom training facility has a lettable area of approx. 124,000 Sq. Ft. It was purchased by Barrowgate Properties Ltd in 1995.
The concept was to provide good quality affordable office space in an area that was rapidly becoming very sought after. Immediately following their purchase, Barrowgate contacted Perry Brothers and offered us the opportunity to refurbish the common areas and to act as Main Contractors / Maintenance Contractors for the building. As a result of our detailed knowledge of the building and on-site presence, we went on to successfully negotiate the fit-outs of the offices for the majority of the tenants.
Since then, we have been continually involved by the owners in a program of upgrading, part of which has involved the installation of full air conditioning to 55,000 sq ft. while still occupied by the tenant,
The offices of Perry Brothers are now located on the 7th floor of Telephone House, an area which we converted from a plant room.
